Fiber post application is a treatment applied after root canal treatment. Fiber post treatment is applied in cases where the loss of substance in the tooth is too high and the remaining part of the tooth is not sufficient for filling procedure.
In order to apply a fiber post to the tooth, the tooth must have a root canal treatment. Fiber post application cannot be performed on teeth without root canal treatment. The area and depth where the post will be placed are opened. The cleaned area is washed with special solutions. With the help of special binders, the post of the selected thickness is placed and fixed on the cleaned area. The top filling, which is the core part, is prepared and the process is completed here.
